If you’re out camping, you may wish to consider some easy to use dry rub recipes for grilling your meats. Here are 4 easy to make dry rubs to get you started.
Garlic Herb
1 teaspoon garlic granules
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Blend together well and massage into both sides of the meat. Allow meat to sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors and grill on each side until the desired doneness is reached and serve.
Lemon Herb
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon lemon rind or lemon granules
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Blend dry ingredients and massage into both sides of the meat. Gently pour the lemon juice over the meat on both sides. Allow the meat to sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors and grill to desired doneness and serve.
Italian Dry Rub
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon basil flakes
Blend the above seasonings well and gently massage into both sides of the meat. Allow the meat to sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors. Grill to desired doneness and serve.
Barbecue Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon savory
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Combine above dry ingredients and gently massage into both sides of the meat. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes and grill each side of the meat on a hot grill to desired doneness. Serve warm with a delicious homemade barbecue sauce.
Dry rubs can also be done the night before and the meat placed into a sealed plastic bag overnight. This will meld the flavors into the meat longer and the meat will be even tastier.
